Enhanced Water Age Performance Assessment in Distribution Networks
نویسندگان
چکیده
Water age is frequently used as a surrogate for water quality in distribution networks and often included modelling optimisation studies, though there are no reference values or standard performance functions assessing the network behaviour regarding age. This paper presents novel methodology obtaining enhanced system-specific assessment functions, tailored each network. The based on establishment of relationships between chlorine concentration at sampling nodes simulated proposed demonstrated through application to two systems winter summer seasons. Obtained results show major improvement comparison with those obtained by published since limits herein analysed networks. demonstrates that development network-specific powerful tool more robustly reliably defining goals evaluating system under different operating conditions.

VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT OF WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS: GRAPH THEORY METHOD
The main functional purpose of a water distribution network is to transport water from a source to several domestic and industrial units while at the same time satisfying various requirements on hydraulic response. All the water distribution networks perform two basic operations: firstly the water network needs to deliver adequate amounts of water to meet specific requirements, and secondly the...
متن کاملPredicting Deficient Condition Performance of Water Distribution Networks
A water distribution network is subjected to various abnormal conditions such as pipe breaks, pump failures, excessive demands etc. in the design period. Under such conditions, the network may not be able to meet required demands at desired pressures, and becomes deficient. Traditional network analysis assumes nodal demands to be satisfied and available nodal pressures are calculated. However, ...

متن کاملStochastic Assessment of Voltage Sags in Distribution Networks
This paper compares fault position and Monte Carlo methods as the most common methods in stochastic assessment of voltage sags. To compare their abilities, symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults with different probability distribution of fault positions along the lines are applied in a test system. The voltage sag magnitude in different nodes of test system is calculated. The problem with the...
